With this new knowledge I've tried to tackle the ODT way again and realized that the download didn't get stuck, it is just painfully slow (the target directory contains now 5 files and 3 folders with a size of 760kb after over an hour). To my surprise the product was installed the next day. A manual installation via the C2R installer showed errors about the download, so I've tried to just to get it installed in some way and used the "Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365" and let it run overnight (though at some point my PC restarted). I am fairly new to the Office 365 game and already running into my first issue While trying to prepare a deployment package for MS Visio for our company, I started to think that the download stalled and tried a lot of things to get it to work, including tons of FW rules, etc.
